Pakistan Pediatric Association

About Us

Pakistan Pediatric Association (PPA) is the representative body of more than 3000 pediatricians across Pakistan. It comprises a Central Body, 4 Provincial Branches, a Federal Branch, and several subspecialty groups including a dedicated Research Division.

As per Clause 18 of the PPA Constitution, the Research Division is located in Peshawar. It formulates and implements national-level research, funded by 10% of savings from all National and Biennial PPA Conferences. PPA-KP is responsible for proposing and maintaining its by-laws, budget, and audits, subject to approval by the Executive Committee of PPA Central.

Objectives

  • Initiate and coordinate national-level research on pediatric health problems.
  • Promote a culture of research and critical thinking within PPA.
  • Identify priority research areas related to child health and protection.
  • Build evidence and data on common pediatric issues in Pakistan.
  • Organize workshops on research methodologies for pediatricians.
  • Collaborate with Government, WHO, UNICEF, and international agencies on child health research.
